Welcome to Bend, Oregon. Our idyllic mountain town of 90,000 residents knows how to get the most out of our 300+ days of sunshine per year. Whether your favorite pastimes include Snowriding, Golfing, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Camping, Shopping, Dining, or sampling Microbrews, Bend has you covered.
Named after the gentle “Bend” in the Deschutes River that flows through town, the city was founded in 1905. Originally a lumber town (the town’s restored smokestacks in the Old Mill District are a remnant of an old lumber mill), tourism has taken over as more and more people have discovered the Playground of the Pacific Northwest.
With an ideal climate, abundance of recreational opportunities, culture, and a quality educational system, it’s no wonder that Central Oregon continues to attract more and more residents annually.
