Man’s best friend has found a home in Bend. According to a recent survey, 49 percent of all Central Oregonians own a dog. Pet Fancy Magazine dubbed Bend, “Dogtown USA,” in 2012.
Our town has embraced our love of four-legged friends. A walk downtown on Wall and Bond Street features many water bowls on the sidewalk for our beloved pets. The area also features 8 off-leash dog parks, and over 50 miles of trails in town, making it the perfect place to spend the dog days of summer.
And being Bend, we even have our own beer for your dog! Dawg Grog, produced by Boneyard Beer, is a non-alcoholic, organic beverage brewed with a dog’s palate in mind.
